Some folks are scared of the darkness.                          
They're frightened by things they can't see.
They think if they knew what was out there
That safe and content they would be.
But supposin' some light lit the darkness,
And they knew all the things that would be.
Would safety be theirs or contentment?
Or would they wish that they still could not see.

And there's one thing to say for the darkness:
It hides both the good and the bad.
You can worry and fret, 'bout the bad you may get,
Or consider the good to be had.
